The Yarkon-Gani Yehoshua Park was established in 1973 on the fields that bordered the Yarkon. The lake in the park was dug in 1975 and opened in 1976. The size of the lake is 80 dunams and it is the largest of its kind in Israel. Its maximum depth is 180 cm and it is artificially filled with water from the tap from which Shut Nefesh Tel.
